About the author

Vyacheslav “Slava” Osinski AKA Ostap is a Ukraine-born, Berlin-based artist who earns a living through his art. Having studied architecture and printing, he began his artistic career on the streets of Berlin. Ostap started with conventional spray paint and soon added other media such as tape. Printing techniques like stenciling or halftone screen are strong influences in his tape art. Whether on the street, indoors, or on canvas, Ostap likes to play with different materials and textures in his work. He also appropriates pop culture, political, and social artifacts in his work. Many of his pieces blend the lines between modern and classical art.
